Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3It's been a long while since Part 2 of this walk, but now the weather is a touch milder our April 2x2 meet on Saturday 11th April (yes that's Easter Saturday) will be the next stage of the Sydney Harbour Circle Walk. This leg is from Woolwich to Drummoyne and depending on our speed should take around 3 and a half hours.

We'll meet at Circular Quay WHARF 5 8:15 am to catch the 8:25 am ferry to Woolwich. Alternatively you can meet us when we disembark the ferry at Woolwich at 8:47 am. The walk follows the start of the Great North Walk (which ends in Newcastle!) through Woolwich and Hunters Hill to Tarban Creek Bridge then over Gladesville Bridge to Drummoyne and down to Drummoyne ferry wharf where we'll catch the ferry back to Circular Quay. We'll either have lunch in Drummoyne or at Circular Quay - does anyone have any suggestions? There is a ferry to the Quay at 12:45 pm and another at 1:25 pm. Ferry fare is $5.20 adults each way. Please indicate your interest in attending by posting below. To see the route in Google Maps click HERE So far we have the following people attending: Definites: Stubbsy (derrr) ATJ Matt K & Philo Reschsmooth Leigh & Tash dviv Possibles: Glen Mr Darcy & Pam Peter

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3I'm interested.

I wish there was a direct ferry between Drummoyne and Woolwich as I'd prefer to park at Drummoyne. Looks like I'll have to get a Ferry in to the Quay and back out.
Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3Argh, I went on parts 1 and 2, but I'm going to have to miss out on part 3 - I will be interstate on that day.

Hmmmm That MUST have been quite a while ago, Janelle wasn't even pregnant yet at that stage, and Phoebe is nearly 11 months old now

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3Will confirm as there is a bit on for me that weekend, thanks for organising Peter as it sounds like a great walk

May 12 2007 Put me down as a definite "It depends". I feel like I never get a chance to pick up a camera these days, so would be good. If Junior v2.0 decides to make an early dash, I will not be available. Regards, Patrick

I should get some good opotunities though. Regards Colin

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3Pam and I are more than tempted, but we are still negotiating "The Great Easter Family Get Together". THet may well scupper any chance of attending.

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3It was only ever going to be a long shot considering everything, but I will not be able to make it. Sorry guys, it would have been great to catch up again.

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3Maybe..... Just have to see what my family thinks about this idea... Hmmm might not be received in a warm fashion.

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3Threats have been received regarding disowning me from the family. Being very sensible, I have pulled out of this walk which we need to repeat with the people who missed out because it was Easter...

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3It's looking highly unlikely I can make it at this stage. Peter, I'll sms you if my circumstances change.

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3It looks like the weather will be reasonably kind to us for the walk. The forecast from the bureau of meteorology is:

Mostly cloudy. A shower or two, chiefly in the afternoon. Light northwesterly winds, becoming moderate northeasterly in the afternoon. Make sure you bring water and sun screen. We'll meet at Wharf 5 Circular Quay at 8:15 am. Peter

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3I will meet you guys at Woolwich wharf at about 8:45am. Can't wait. (Well, I guess I have to so that statement wasn't very accurate).

            Regards, Patrick

Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3I have my monopod back.

I called Sydney Ferries lost and found on Tuesday morning and they said they didn't have it but took my contact details. They called back around 30 minutes later to say it had been handed in. I suspect it was there all the time. I picked it up today.
Re: Sydney Harbour Walk - Part 3That's good news Andrew
