It will be well worth it in the end, as you get used to it. That last bike is a bit odd. :)

Shots look pretty good to me John. Besides the physical difference of the D2X - what is the most noticeable difference ?? Can you notice the extra pixels when you print a pic out compared to your D70 ??

John looks good at this point in the learning curve. I'm sure you'll master it in no time. You seem impressed thus far though? :)

Great machines, I'm jealous of you having to come to grips with the new toy, sigh... Would be interesting to hear what you thought of the difference with the different focus type in the new cam on the 80-400, regarding focus speed or tracking etc...

Thanks guys, but yeh makes me wonder how anyone gets good pics with it as seemed all my pics was out of whack. Anyhow did the firmware update, had a look at that link and change a couple of settings and pics i took today was a bit better, but i found i had to sharpen a lot in PS and also add contrast as they looked a bit washed out. I shot in jpeg though, but yeh might take some time.

BBJ,
The best things is try each lens with the D2x and you'll find out something which they're interested.
Pls. don't expect the way you use the D70 is the same with the D2x.

Hi Birdy, yes as i got it rather later the other nite i just started with the normal setting in the way i had the D70 setup, but yeh going to have to try differant things to see what works. Yesterday i put the kit lens on and used that but i think i might have to do some setup on some things as i have found needs more contrast etc... and will try the other lenes, not very good outside but will keep trying.
