Yep - it rained, so had to go frogging. But, you don't only find frogs when out at night - butterflies alight on foliage to sleep, nocturnally active caterpillars come out to browse, and ... well ok.... there are frogs :)

Great shots Rel. :D

No need to go to extremes though to find them. I've just had half a dozen Rocket Frogs jump across the lounge room

nice shots like always... the last being my favourite.

our frog population seems to be lower at the moment... just hundreds of horrible toads.

Excellent shots Narelle. I particularly like the caterpillar. What lens did you use? Obviously macro of some type.

Nice stuff Narelle. That little fallax is gorgeous. I was very tempted to go out last night myself but needed an early night. Besides, my favourite lens was already out and about with it's owner getting great shots, wasn't it?!

Xerubus, John & Manta - thanks for the comments.

Xerubus - you can actually take a really nice photo of toads - they are pretty photogenic :)

John - all the shots were taken with the 105 Nikon - these caterpillars come out at night to feed on wattle - less chance of being picked off by birds etc :)

Manta - for god's sake man, buy the damn lens !!!! LOL   I know, not yet, only kidding.

It's weird huh? My favourite shot is actually the 3rd - the emerald spotted tree frog. You don't often get them to display the beautiful yellow colouration in the armpits and between the fingers and toes. But they all turned out ok.

Thanks again everyone
Rel

All the shots are great......... the lighting on 2 and 4 is just fantastic and shows what can be done with a flash in the field........or maybe swamp in this case........
