A quick Pano from the Fisherman's Bay sunSET on Saturday -

Need to work on the horizon, as it bows downwards slightly.

Was a bit slack last night, and didn't get any others done - maybe tonight

I'll post new ones of the sunset to this thread, and then have one more thread from the weekend entitled "Pelicans and the rest"!

I like this leon. You've managed to get a lovely tonal range without the image being too hot.

I agree with Peter, lovely range and expertly captured. At the rate you produce great Pano's Leon you must be running out of wall space :lol:

Leon a very nice shot. Sure you didn't just redo the PP on mine.

Most interesting thing about this is how two different treatments can be produced from the same scene.

Sheepie, it may be my monitor but the second looks a little oversaturated.
Both images are nice. The first one is sort of a soft classic feel, where the second feels a more graphic and confronting.

I love the delicateness of the first shot - soothing and gentle

The second also appears a little oversaturated, but I like it just the same

Thanks all - I am quite pleased with the pano (the first pic) and think I'll do some more work on it.
It truly is a great part of the world up there, and anyone who gets an oppurtunity to visit should take it. Be prepared for some very long days though

I think I took over 500 shots in the weekend - probably 450 of these on Saturday. It's hard work going through and picking the ones to PP as most seem to be keepers in their own right. And somehow, I've got to fit a very busy couple of weeks of work in there before going on holidays!
Arrrghhhh!

(speaking of which, better get a move-on!)

Echo from all above photos and the words from sheepie!
It's a great place to visit and having heaps of good times upthere.

I'm getting bored with all the post card photos as many Sydney landmarks, or tourist spots around Sydney metro.

Make a trip to outer Sydney metro and you'll find lot of good photogenic places and enjoying your days.

One thing, I don't see many of our Sydney members are very keen in taking longer trips to many of our organized excursions or workshops within two hours drive out of Sydney and you're missing the opportunities.

I'm not promoting the local tourism industry nor working with Port Stephens Council.

Leon - I really like the second shot - the saturation gives it some oomph and that I do like. Just one thing, your sensor needs replacing - that’s a really bad scratch :lol:
