Pictures from PeruHi guys, just thought I'd share some of my photos from Peru. There are some that are quite noisy - i'd accidently left the camera on ISO 800! Files have been resized for the web, but thats basically about it (as you'll be able to tell from the numerous dust bunnies that abound).

Is that a Condor ???? (Sorry I have a thing for Condor's from a children's show, Mysterious Cities of Gold).
They have to be one of the coolest big birds, the wingspan on that its just huge. I'll check out the rest of your shots, how recently where you there ?
Awesome. Peru is certainly one place i'd love to visit. I'd love to see more if they are as good as this selection, or even if they are not

Man, I was completely hooked on that show!
It's one of the greats, I watched the whole series a few months back, still on of the greatest stories and cartoons ever!
Honestly haven't heard of the cartoon before...
Alpha_7, I was there about 2 months ago. Here are a couple more shots ![]() ![]() ![]()
Great shots, especially the huge condor ...... and OMG I was addicted to that cartoon as well. hehe

Yeah that cartoon is great. Going back to it though is a tad wierd in my experience, technology has improved animation so much. I am too much of a techno-head.

wile_E love the last shot you posted the black and white and the angles, Love it!
(Yes the animation isn't as good, but the story is still great.... Mendoza!!!)
In the words of the infamous for being famous heiress, "loves it"... and I certainly do. Peru seen through your eyes is inspirational Wai.
If you hadn't mentioned the ISO issue, I don't think any of us would have spotted it.
Thanks for your comments guys.
The sand drawings are of the Nazca lines, and they are quite big - I couldn't make out the shapes from a 5 story tower, had to get those captures from a plane. No one knows exactly who made them, or why they were done (aka there's one of a whale, yet there is no way known ppl there would have ever seen one).
The condors we saw were wild. They live in the canyon, and come out in the morning for a feed (or so we - the gringos - were told)..!! ![]()
G'day Wily_E
Love the pics, was that @ Colca Canyon? Was there in '93, it's a fantastic place & experience ![]() ![]() Waiting for the day temperture/thermals to heat up, so the Condors can start their ascent ![]() ![]() Brings back many happy memories!
