Northern Sojourn - some older pics of mineI never really thought too much about these pics, but looking back on them, i actually really like these. The pelican ones in particular because i was doing my best crocodile hunter antics to get close enough. Shots are from a roadtrip from Perth along the coast, through various places and to karratha (and back)

Right place, right time, where the hecks my camera ...
G'day mate,
Just shows that a skilled operator produces good pics regardless of the toll used... The shot of the two pelicans cracks me up, I can just about hear them, well ya got any food??? Love the shot of the Dolphin, such a magnificent and inquisitive creature... Aka Andrew
the 2 pelicans shot is very good, they are such good subjects!
The shot that really draws my attention is the one of the lovely girl over her shoulder, if the background had been just a bit different would have been a knockout shot Paul
A good collection of shots here, liked the over the girls shoulder, but like LostDingo pity the view doesn't have that extra something as the lighting, skin tones and hair are all great.
Pelican shots are a laugh, that first one is a rippa (they really don't mind posing). I also liked the shot of the car with the barren landscape behind.... seeing all these make me want to go on holiday ![]()
Some nice shots there, as you say, you don't need a SLR to get good photos.
Pelican shots and the Beach shot do it for me. Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
hehe those pelicans were pretty cool. Let me get about 3 feet away from them.

all skillfully taken, like your composition and use of appealing tones.
The one of your girlfriend however is just sumptuous, the composition, pose and tone are all just right.
Nice pics Brad. I really enjoy looking at your interpretation of life and things interesting. The PJ style photos look great. (Pelicans, girl)

Love the shot of the Dolphin and the Girl. The Girl shot though if you could clone out the palm coming out of her shoulder, the other peice isn't so distracting as it blends in with the grass. Love it none the less.
Out of interest, are Dolphins suppose to be that blue? Hope you don't mind but I did a bit of PS work on the colours and curves, thought it looked more natural. Then again I could be just pissed ![]() ![]() Edit: probably could still do with a bit of cyan reduction. Darryl (aka Kipper)
