thanks everyone for your comments....the wife & I both love it (as you'd expect).
This was the first time I really dabbled with setting the WB on PRE...which turned out fairly well (IMO). Especially considering that I metered it off the cream coloured wall, using bounce flash from the ceiling with the SB800. MATT - I'd love to say I have copyright over this idea, but unfortunately I don't think that's possible.....so please be my guest and use the idea. Perhaps you can post your image so we can all share in it ![]() ...and here's an outtake from when we were setting up....it certainly made us laugh ![]() ![]() Dave

Nice Lucas, and you're right about the idea
![]() My sister sent me a postcard/xmas card with her first born back in 2001 with him with a santas hat. Absolutely loved it and still have it sitting on top of my monitor. These cards are priceless and beat anything you can get at a shop as they have the personal touch. Darryl (aka Kipper)

kipper, Once you received your new toy, put a Santa hat on, take a photo of it as your Xmas 05 card and send back to them, they'll appreciate it very much ![]() Birddog114

That is soooooo cute! A great shot which will make a fantastic Xmas card (I'm sure that card won't be getting put away after Xmas is over.. it will still be on display). The out-take is funny too, I can't believe how fast they are growing! Thanks for sharing.
Wow!! I agree whole heartedly. What a fantastic shot, Dave! Nice exposure with great use of flash. The outtake pic had me in hysterics!
