wow...interesting. I love the depth of field on the shot...not too shallow, just deep enought to cover the subject properly. You really have the focus tight on the eyes...

This is a great shot. I hate spiders, but the detail here had me getting up close and personal with my monitor ![]() Peter

Eeeewww. Spiders I'm okay with but I'm not keen on bazillions of little midget ones.

What a fantastic study! A bit more DOF would be nice, but dammit, I just love this photo. It's a knockout.

Thank you all so much for your positive comments on this shot. DOF is a bit shallow, but at the time I was lying in the middle of the road in the rain, getting down to eye level with the spider, with a neighbouring farmer sitting in his car looking at me like I was nuts
![]() ![]() Paul - didn't realise the skull thing was happening - you've freaked me out - I just keep going back and looking at it...... have to take some more shots to see if the same thing is happening ... or maybe it is the shrunken skull of someone else who took photos of the evil spider and her devilish offspring?????? ![]() Dodging and burning are steps to take care of mistakes God made in establishing tonal relationships! -Ansel Adams
