Hi all - went out in the glorious rain last night looking for frogs :) This is a shot of the common sedgefrog, or Litoria fallax (I call it the little shit frog, 'cos it is everywhere!!!)

Marvellous Rel. :D

Not only a sweet exposure but a great composition as well. The Litoria may be everywhere but shots like this are pretty rare. Just one more for those rather busy walls of yours!

You certainly have an amazing talent in your photogaphs of critters that always run away when I approach them. Kermit is a winner :D

Wow ..... I liked the photo, but didn't expect such a great reaction. You've made my night :)

I highly recommend everyone goes out after the next storm and take shots of frogs. It is great fun :) The easiest trick is (a) either follow the frog call, and track down the frog (can take a bit of time, and a slight knack, or (b) take out a torch, put it up to your shoulder so your eye is in line with the beam ( looking along the beam away from you) and look for eyeshine. You'll often pick up spiders (well, always) but you'll soon be able to tell the difference between insect eyeshine, and vertebrate eyeshine.

My challenge to you :) ;)

That is one awesome photo there!

I liked your pobblebonk photo as well.

We used to have a pobblebonk iving around our fishpond but sadly, he or she seems to have moved on.

Is there a humane way and painless way of getting rid of canetoads apart from freezing them?

Keep the nature photos coming blacknstormy!

Cheers
