Ok, I'll start.
In May, I braved the Icelandic volcano dust clouds and flew to the UK to complete the TGO Challenge. This is a long distance walking event held each year, and is a 14 day self planned, self navigated, self supplied hike across Scotland from West to East. Challenger numbers are limited to 300 or so Challengers each yearly event. Each Challenger or team (max 4 persons) has their own plan and route. Challengers Choose from a dozen or so start points on the West coast, and can finish anywhere on the East Coast between Arbroath and Fraserborough - their route in between is up to their own planning and navigation. My Challenge was solo. I started at Strathcarron, and finished at Castle Dunnattar near Stonehaven. My total walking distance was just over 320km. Every night was under canvas apart from 3 resupply and washup points along the way (B&B's).
The trip was an absolute blast and great fun, the country was awesome, and the people I met along the way were friendly and very helpful. I'd like to say it was a trip of a lifetime (and it was) but that might preclude me repeating it!
Along the way, I climbed a few peaks, the highest of which was Lochnager. This photo might not be the most technically perfect shot, but it serves well to remind me of the excellent time I had, and the stunning scenery and weather I experienced every day.
