Hi all

I am moving to Paris for about 12 months and have all of my health insurance organised. However, I have yet to insure my camera gear. I have tried a few options:

- I can't find travel insurance for equipment that doesn't include medical cover
- most camera only insurance only allows you to be out of Australia for 28 days
- french contents insurance doesn't cover when I am out of the house

Does anyone have experience with insuring their gear under these circumstances?

Aon insurance and a few others do dedicated OS cameramans insurance.

There is a number of threads on it already, sorry too tired to search them out, but insurance in the Search bar will work!

For the time that you're going to be away, my experience suggests that no local (oz) insurer would be all that interested: they would consider this to be in the realm of the local (French) insurance market.

Dude... I don't have any advise but have fun and take care. Would love to see some photos when you return....
