D70 conversion for IR imagesA long while ago, I read something about a member who could convert the D70 sensor to equip it for Infra-Red photography... anybody know who that was??
Cheers, John

Re: D70 conversion for IR imagesThat would be me!
I don't have any filters cut to appropriate size for a D70 at the moment (they're a bit more complicated to cut than for a 30D for example) but I do have several people interested and am considering doing a small batch of D70s in the coming months. No guarantees at the moment, but it's definitely being considered (partly depending on how many D70s people want converted). Are you interested in monochrome or false-colour IR?

Erm... do you have any examples of what you mean? Cheers, John

Re: D70 conversion for IR imagesThe reason for my question is because your choice of IR filter that gets installed on the sensor has a fundamental effect on the style of image. Have a look at an article I wrote a few years ago. If you've got further questions I'll be happy to answer them of course.
