Each week, one of the moderators or administrators selects an image that, for whatever reason, catches their eye. Please feel free to add your comments here. Vigorous discussion of the images and techniques is welcome and encouraged. Criticism of any mod for their choice is not. Please note that this is "Picture of the Week"; do not confuse that with "best picture of the week", which is a concept of which we have no understanding.

Excellent choice by photohiker, if I do say so myself great selection of images and thanks for taking the time to review and select for the POTW photohiker wrote:We've had some top images posted this week, I'd pick at least three but can only pick one... Gerry's Salvation Lies Within is a stunner, and he presented another in Fishing on a carpet of Green and Gold. Rodney posted an excellent image in Central and Me, seems silhouettes and introspective themes are in at the moment! Matt followed the self introspection theme with his somewhat disturbing Self portrait in shop window. My pick is Gerry's very nicely executed Fishing on a carpet of Green and Gold. The combination of light, atmospherics and composition puts me right there. Well done Gerry.

I agree, great choice! Gerry, be sure to submit the image to some fishing magazines as a potential cover. Pick up a couple of hundred bucks.

            Regards
