I decided to play around with some aluminium foil the other day to see what sort of results it could give me (once again, boredom).

Interesting result there Leigh. The first two images remind me of an out of space nebula! Your boredom sure reveals some fascinating results! Thanx for posting.

It must be something that only afflicts the young... I seem to remember being bored when I was a lad, but I can't remember the last time that I felt that way...

These days I can't find enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do... One day Leigh... One day...


Interesting results with the foil... almost created your own boke in some of them... In the last one there are actually some in focus reflections - a chair?, something else... Was that what you were trying for???

This set of work reminds me of the time i experimented with a plastic bag in the wind, I felt quite content in seeing the inherent beauty in such a simple yet complex object suspended in space influenced by the gentle caresses of the the wind. I stood humbled by it's sheer elegant dance against the breeze, as the sun backlit the plastic bag I could see an almost infinite kaleidoscope of spectral colours and tones eminating off the shattered ridges and folds of the semi opaque plastic, a lovely dynamism my infinitesimal sensory inputs failed to fully appreciate at the time, in that moment the background receded, the suns illumination seemed distant and time stood still. I found myself alone and saw my life flash before my eyes in a rainbow of abstract afterimages, both disturbing but quite hauntingly beautiful and in that finite moment i was ever so close to an Epiphany, BUT then SUDDENLY it all went away as the plastic bag flew away into oblivion.

The moral of the story is to cherish every magical moment of the present while you experiment, as every point in time is so precious and unqiue in the spacetime continuum, the moment lost will never come again.

But in this case leigh you have captured the essence of your experimentation, well done. Your work always challenges the mind.

Running On Empty - now there's a classic album. So good I bought it on CD and am waiting for the soon tyo be released DVD-A multi track remix
