Cheeky fella let me get to within 3meters with the 80-200mm so cropping was minimal. I was really happy to view this at home and see that the horizon was mirrored in his eye.

but i think i would like to have see a little more DOF, for me the beak appears a little soft...

I was expecting a sudden flight from him and had the open aperture so I could try to capture that but he just sat there and eyed me off and cawwed at me for about 10 minutes.

here's the second shot. the magpie next to him was just swooping other crows. hence my expectation that he'd fly off.
