Hi guys,
I took this yesterday with the intention of converting to a grainy B&W. Does it work? Would appreciate the critique.
Cheers

I think I'd like to see it framed the other way - more water, with the couple on the right (if they aren't going to be in the centre).
Otherwise, like the effect of the b&w, and the footprints lead you in nicely - looks good

Nice, agree with sheepie that more water would have been good. I also have a liking for these sort of shots to have the camera from lower down, even right down on the sand.
Nice pic.

Thanks for the critique fellas.
More water, yeah I was thinking that too. I agree about the low low view point as well.
Does it work though? I mean, does it hold your attention long enough, or do the points that you've raised make you just think "yeah, alright, but next..."?
Cheers

Matt, try a crop and see how it looks. I mean get rid of the trees.
I think it may be a stronger picture then

I like the effect, would like to see it un-cropped (is that possible?) so that the subjects of the image are smaller and the beach is bigger.

...... you have 2 things ......1 a view.....2 people walking......
you have 2 choices:
1 ...... make the people the point of focus or
2 ...... make the view the point of focus using the people to make the shot more interesting or as we used to say dressing the shot
A much lower angle and wider pix with people on the right and more water on the left with the foot prints in the sand leading up to the people would be good as you are pulling all the elements together.......
