My comp entry..

So I've pretty much taken it for granted now that I'm not going to be placing very high in the competition. I took a photo I liked though, that fit with my idea of the theme.. you know, a decisive moment ;)
I went through a tonne of matches getting the shot how I liked it. A lot of posing by the SO..

I really enjoyed playing with the absolutely kickarse macro lens birddy lent me. I was specifically not mentioning that I had borrowed the lens so that it wouldn't give anyone a clue in case mine was the only macro shot.. was it?

The idea behind the shot ( especially with the title ) was that this specific moment was when the subject was deciding to either have a first cigarette, or possibly not have one, and quit..

Here are some of the other shots anyway.

Thanks for the explanation. Makes sense now, didn't quite understand from your title initially.

"I understand quickly if you explain long enough" (old French saying) :-)

Cheers,

G'day mate,
Terrific idea. Just wonder about maybe a portrait style shot with to-be-lit cig in mouth, match nearly burnt away, while the person stares into space, thinking, thinking...
