KerryPierce,
Beautiful. I like both shots very, very much ![]() Cheers, fozzie
When people ask what equipment I use - I tell them my eyes.
Thanks for the kind comments, Arthur. I too, like the 2nd one the best.
![]() Thanks Fozzie! I'm very pleased that you enjoyed them. I'll try to keep any new ones in the showoff category. ![]() my gallery of so-so photos

Nice Kerry, very nice.
The colour in the 1st is great and the water droplets glistening. Put my Thorn & your Rose together and I think we have a match ![]() Cheers, Mic. ![]()

![]() ![]() Very!! nice pics Kerry. I took at look at the RRP on that lens and quietly closed the webpage again ![]() Only minor nit that I would point out is that the white rose pic has quite a noisy background, which Im sure NN or NeatImage would clear up? Rob. Smile; it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
Rob, Price of the Nikkor 70-180 is AU$1500.00 landed in Australia, not bad isn't it? Birddog114

Hi Kerry,
great photos ! The 1st rose is of a beautiful ruby color and nice composition, I really love it. The 2nd rose is also of beautiful colours and nice composition, I love it too. I love both and I envy that lens. Regards CD
Nice work like the 2nd one, could you post some ultra micro stuff for us eg with heaps of microscopic detail, thanks, Max

First, many thanks to all for the kind words and compliments.
![]() ![]() Chris: Not bad for a non-Sigma lens, do ya think? ![]() Mic: Thanks, but I don't need any more thorns... ![]() Rob: Yes, it's not a cheap lens. Not sure what you mean about the noisy background. Both were only shot at ISO 800. ![]() Matt: You think I'd use a cheap trick like a spray bottle?? ![]() ![]() Ozimax: umm, I don't think I have much, if any "ultra micro stuff". That takes a lot more time and patience than I generally have... Dunno what I've got with this lens, that might have heaps of microscopic detail. I'll post what I have, in that regard. Right now, I don't have access to many interesting insects and the ones I do have, like to play hide and seek... ![]() my gallery of so-so photos

I certainly wouldnt say its objectionable and it was only a very minor nitpick. The pics are VERY good for ISO800. But thats D70 noise for you, nice and smooth and just looks a bit like grain really.
Not bad at all for the price, but a bit rich for my blood right now ![]() Smile; it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
