Beautiful Arthur, you are good at these Birdy Shots.

HiThanks for all the kind comments. I am a newbie when it comes to bird photography and have much to learn from fellow photographers.
I could get this close because these like ducks they are accustomed to people. The bird was about 2 meters away from me. I was using AFS 300F4 + TC1.4X. 1/250 f8. ISO 200. Handheld. Auto WB -2. EV -0.3. regards, Arthur
Is that bird what you guys call a duck?

Nah Neeper - Arthur was just saying they, like ducks, have become accustomed to having people around them. Probably so tame they don't even flinch until you pour the marinade on them... ![]() It's actually a Eurasian Coot - Fulica atra - according to Morcombe's Field Guide to Australian Birds. Simon
