The halo police will be after you though, for the sharpening halo around the guy's body and the dark edges of the 'chute. High contrast edges will give you those halos. The easiest way to avoid that is by duplicating the layer and applying differing levels of sharpness to both layers. Light levels of USM to the bottom layer and then heavier levels to the top layer, if needed. Then erase the halo areas in the top layer with a small brush size and merge the layers. That should give you good sharpness throughout the image, without halos.
