We are trying at the moment to get people who post pics to give some of the EXIF data such as iso, aperture, shutter speed, lens etc so that we can all be more informed - tnx

Well captured. Looks like bee in the cave

But I should tell something about a composition. The bee seems to be heading off the frame and it doesn't help to hold image together. IMHO, should be much better to rotate the bee 180 degree

To give more info would give away how some images are produced in camera which I would like to keep to myself as I have only just got this post thing together. I hope to have a web site up by around June

Re the off centre bee have another look as it is a pix of a flower not a pix of a bee. He cost me 2 pints of honey........was not cheap.......

I was not telling to put bee into the center I just think it would be better to turn bee around. In the other aspects image is great

big pix - I don’t understand your logic in not giving shooting info: for example I can tell you that it was shot with the D70 and the standard lens at f/11 at 12:15:35 on the 5th August 2004. This is not giving away any vital information but it does help newcomers to photography to understand certain aspects of pic taking especially when the pic is as good as this one.

re your comment about wanting to keep how images are produced in camera
a) aperture and shutter speed will never let anyone know when the composition is right and when to press the shutter
b) posting and taking images are different, cant see the relevance between the two or why not to share
c)if someone like sirhc55 hadn't given freely of his info, you wouldn't be able to post now

I respect your right to keep your information private, but really pointing out that sharing it would help people newer to photography and giving aperture and shutter speed wont tell people when to press the shutter.

Just to make a mockery of my comments above and your secrecy, most photographers have an exif reader which when placed over a photo tells the A +S. That is how I know your image was shot at F11 for 1/500 second. Pity the exif reader doesn't give me the talent to replicate your shot.

speed and F stops are only a very small part of how a photo is put together, please do not judge me on my reasons, but judge me on my images, I use a camera not to record a moment in time, but to capture an image that can be enjoyed. I put a lot of research into what I do and what you see here are only a small sample some of my personal images and what I do for fun and relaxation
