It seems that the more DOF you have the richer the background colour. The subject doesn't have a ton of colour to change it seems, each one looks pretty similar to me.

What was your light source? If it was daylight then the amount of clear sky/sun/clouds providing illumination to your subject will vary the colour balance a bit. If a cloud covers the sun, then the colour balance will shift towards the blue compared to earlier shots without the sun covered. I notice the exposure varies slightly across the frames, that will sometimes change the apparent colour balance a little too. Also if using auto settings for colour balance, the camera will be changing the colour balance slightly depending on the illumination.. so many variables! Gordon
Perhaps you should have done a pre-White Balance before each shot with the different lenses.
Anyhow, the 50mm 1.8 wins as i would have expected. ![]() Steve.
