You have a beautiful middle ground and background but nothing in the foreground....Is it essential to have a foreground? No. Not if the middle ground or background have something extremely interesting that grabs the viewer by the throat. You don't have that here. This image would have made a spectacular background for a portrait...or a whippet running through the front of the image space...or a white stallion....or a girl riding a bicycle. I often get images like this and I put them in a special folder called "backgrounds". Then....when I get a great shot with a lousy background...I put PhotoShop to work.
