Well, this is it - First ever D70 photo

Finally getting the D70 - Fantastic
Not opening the box for over 2 hours because my daughter was using it to pull herself and stand by herself for the first time ever - PRICELESS :D

Thanks Birrdog - very much appreciated - look forward to many priceless photos coming up.

First impressions - are wow - how fast is this - won't be missing photos now

The next two are of my other twin - just laying on bed stalling, before she has to go to sleep.

Congratulations Georgie, great memories there. I bet your second twin is going to grow up to be a camera hog, she certainly loves the camera.
Look forward to seeing more photos soon.

Thanks

Actually, it is the first one who is usually the little model - she just loves her photo being taken.

You've got it straight up! Much better than I faired on my first D70 attempts!! Did you use the fill flash on the second two exposures, it seems to have done a good job without being overly glaring if it is so.

Well done, keep it up. I'm with Phil, someone knows what a camera is! :D

Cheers

Yes- it was actually quite dark. Just had a lamp in the corner of the room and then had the flash on. Nearly everything was set on auto as I just wanted to take some photos

The most beautiful thing about your first D70 pic postings georgie is that you have made memories for your daughters - great shots

In 30 years time those pics will be worth 20 times the cost of your D70. Welcome to the D70 club!

Thanks everyone - At the moment we really couldn't "afford" the camera, but I cannot put a price on missing these memories now.

"Merovingian - Yes, of course, who has time? Who has time? But then if we do not ever take time, how can we ever have time?"

Welcome to the club Georgie.

Another Queenslander I see. Soon we will outnumber the Canberra contingent!

Another happy Birdy customer also. :D I know Birdy will be absolutely thrilled to see your first photos. They're really good photos of your children and now you will be able to capture all of those special moments for them as they progress through childhood and beyond.

Cheers and thanks for sharing

Graham

Merovingian is from Matrix Reloaded - holds the keymaker and has a very beautiful wife :)

Quote is from scene in the restaurant when Neo, Trinity and Morpheus are speaking to the Merovingian - first time he meets them.

Georgie,

Excellent first results; thanx for sharing.

And I think the pleasure of getting such excellent results, with two beautiful models, will outweigh the pain of the cost of the camera more than you can even begin to imagine.

Well done, Georgie Boy!

Welcome to the forum, georgie. And congrats on those two lovely ankle-biters.

You'll get more pleasure from photgraphing them with your D70 than almost anything else you do. :D

Cheers
Trevor

Georgie - How's the camera

Hi Georgie

Excellent first pictures mate. My Girl friend has a three year old girl. Was never much for kids, but meeting her changed all that. Kids are truely spell binding creatures.

How are you finding the new d70? I am trying to scrape some money together to get one. Ease of use etc?

Cheers....

Georgie you named the topic well. Matt K hit the nail on the head, the camera cost is irrelevant compared to those memories. Congrats on the twins and the camera
