Held at QR over the weekend, I and the other guys were lucky enough to get full media accreditation for the event which gave us full access to the track...

I am really growing to love the bikes, they are so much fun!

This one I really like, except the sun was directly behind them and destroyed the track! This was late on Day 1 (Round 6) coming out of Turn 6 at QR.

These are from Day 2 (again late, Round 7) coming into and out of Turn 6 at QR (yes I did shoot from other locations too).

I really had a great weekend, the event was really, really well run!

Well done Brett I like No1 the best. Bikes trend to produce closer and more exciting racing.

I like the syncronised look in number 1, and how close the second rider in the last photo is to the ground.

They are all very sharp though.

Brilliant work, I would would have liked to see some panning though.

Thanks all...

Harry, contrary to the look of these they are all panned shots anyway, you pan with them coming into or out of the corner. The Shutter speed is lowish too, I was using a higher shutter on some of the full pan shots I was taking from other locations.

I've never understood the whole whack the shutter up to 1/500th and above and just stab at them as they come into the corner, I find that the results still look too static. You'll notice this on the third one, where they are at the apex and the track is well defined around the focal plane, where as the others the track isn't, whilst it was shot with 1/200th, just the location gave it a static look...

Other than that I have a heap of panning shots from the inside of corners, just haven't processed them yet ;) The Honda riders specifically were getting so low that their elbows were almost touching the ripple strips!

Cheers ;)
