This is an odd image. There is something about the shot that really grabs me yet it's VERY dark and normally I'd think this a minus since there's so little shadow detail. As I say odd. It's best viewed bigger than this so click the pic to see it larger.

i don't see much wrong with this image stubbsy. I think you've managed to circumvent the lack of shadow detail with the pano crop. Printed large, this would hang beautifully on any wall

I believe the reason it looks so good is the fact that the colour gradually fades out as you move further down the photo. Nice blues and whites at the top finishing with the dark shadows at the bottom. Very nice.

It is an unusual image. Although not appealing to me overall, even when viewed large, there are some aspects that i find nice. The rainbow adds a good splash of colour to what is otherwise a bit of a dreary day. The colours of the mountains is interesting and typically volcanic. I like that.
