Great shot James, I can't even begin to imagine the injuries on those concrete spike reinforcement things! That'd hurt somewhat if this stunt went wrong!!

Great action shot James and I agree with Geoff re-the dangerous nature of the stunt.
cheers

yep it was a bit of a headache positioning flashes initially, my legs got spiked a little!

IS that one of your flashes on the left edge of the pic?

Action in the shot is great. I was a little distracted by your shadow in the foreground. Did you have any control on the light behind you?

I don't think "ouch!" covers what you would feel if you missed and fell.

You continue to produce great shots.

thanks,

that is my flash at the left edge, and there was a flash behind me to the right a little bit.

i had control over the lighting, but because the fisheye is so wide (and you have to be so close) it makes it hard to really control your shadow (and keep flashes out of shot). i have a few other shots where i managed to keep my shadow out of the shot (standing on a power box/pole thing, holding the pole with one hand and shooting with the other) but this shot seemed to illustrate exactly how gnarly the gap is.

once again thanks for the kind words.
