My car battery died in a carpark a few days ago (oh the joys of a 'P' Plater's car!). While I was waiting for my mate to come and give me a jump I noticed that I had some kinda cool angles to shoot from up there.
These are the results. What do you think?
Taken with the D80 and a 50mm f/1.8
Cheers

Quite a bit of cropping using the 50mm?
What PP did you actually do? That was the first thing I noticed.

the first one is great - excellent use of line and tone.

Laurie - thankyou
Spaz -
there is almost no cropping, i got a tiny bit of pavement in the original so i cropped it about 5% off one corner. The RAW editing was +100 Shadows, +100 contrast, +5 Exposure, -60 saturation and some vignetting. There is a fair bit in there, the reason i addedso much was because the road was really pale so it took heaps to get that strong contrast of the black and white.
Thanks PiroStitch

Thanks fishafotos, it's quite simple in the end and quite effective
