My first Shoot!!

On the weekend I had the opportunity to do my first shoot with a friend of mine. C&C requested and most appreciated. I've got thick skin so be as brutal and honest as possible.

I've done no PP besides resizing and converting to jpeg. My friend likes these shots, so I'm planning to print them on my printer (epson 2100) at 13x19 inches, which will also be a first. So, any PP or printing tips would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Till next time...

I think you have captured the intimacy between the mother and the baby very well. In number 1 I would clone out the leaves on the left as I find them a bit distracting. Number 2 I would like to see all of the baby's head. You have gone for very tight shots here which in my opinion work in numbers 1 and 4 but I'm not sure about 2 and 3. I really like the breastfeeding idea but this one just doesn't work for me although I can't pinpoint why.
Although, that being said, being a mum myself I would have loved to have shots like these from when my children were babies.
Cheers,
Lee

Thanks Lee, appreciate the feedback.

Yeah, I was debating whether to crop out the leaves in #1. I think I'll go ahead and compare the two. I was so pre-occupied, I forgot about the concept of swapping lenses, rather I just tried to make the lens I had on work. Point taken.

Certainly was a learning experience. Note to self: Put a plastic sheet on floor when there are nude babies in the vicinity :)

Keith - #3 and #4 are beautiful captures - the subject and your camera work combine to produce a lasting memory :)
