First one is the best, but I don't think much of the lot of them, with the last two being the weakest.
The black & white is just not good... it's either the wrong sort of treatment or just not Photoshopped well enough on balancing the tonal qualities and separating the figure from becoming a part of the background.

My favourite is the first, followed by the second.
I think the first just works. The second works, but would be better suited to someone older who "looks like a guitarist".
The common "issue" (for want of a better word) with each of them is the way he is holding the guitar - if he was holding it by the strings, it would look more like he was actually playing it.

I thought the first one was great and I actually like all of them. The only comment I have is that the black blends with the background making the last couple look a little like disembodied heads. I think the parents would like them however. Does the little boy like racing or did you just use the helmet as a prop?

Thanks Marvin....the Adobe1998 ones (my originals) clearly show thier black shirts seperated from the background..seemed to get lost in the conversion to sRGB for web display fo some reason. Yeah all the props are thiers.....

Actually, now that I am at home on my calibrated monitor it is much better - you can see the difference in the bottom one particularly. My work has VERY crappy monitors! Damn cheap government.

the last one tells a good story and I like how you have increased the contrast of the insert shots as the kids get closer but I think the main shot lacks a little contrast
the contrast form the middle insert would be my pick if you were selling it to me

Some great images there. The young fella with the guitar looks like a young Jimmy Barnes.
