Love it! Although I keep looking for the symmetry on the left hand side of the tree, and I think the fact that it is missing makes it so much better for me!
Colours are vibrant, composition great, I'd be tempted to clone out the low lying cloud if I were being picky, but it doesn't detract at all!
Great work!

Nice shot. I like it quite a bit.
But, like Brett I keep looking for something on the left to balance it.
I might have framed the shot like this (quick hack):
<edit by Stubbsy: image removed as requested>
Still following the rule-of-thirds, but with a little bit of balance towards the centre. Now I see it, I'm not so sure. Maybe your framing is better.
Please let me know if you want me to remove my edit.

Daniel, I do not follow the rules of thirds as it is not a rule...... there are no rules to how an image is presented, but only each person's taste in what they like to see......... I tend to please myself with what I shoot, then share what I have done
It would have been nice if you had asked before changing my image..... and yes please remove your edit

Well I was gonna say that I really liked the shot...but that it was just not quite right for me...
then I saw Daniels edit and went wow!...
and then I saw how unpleasant Big Pix was in response to Daniel doing what one generally does in a critique forum....correct me if I am wrong but that's generally offer a critque isn't it?... To be fair you do ask for your images not to be edited..but I am so betting that Daniel didn't see your sig line..I have missed them before myself...but sheesh...he was only trying to help...
anyways I guess what I am trying to say is that to me your image has lost its shine now...

Quote "unpleasant" unquote....... I do not think so........... and to quote Daniel "Please let me know if you want me to remove my edit"
so I would get the facts correct before you start to criticise.......
and being a very experienced professional Photographer I know how I like my images to be presented.......... critique YES...... but do not CHANGE....

Well I guess that we have different idea's as to what is and isn't good manners...mind you I really should make allowances for those that aren't capable of saying what they want to say in text without coming across as rude and stuff...so if i have misinterpreted your original post to Daniel then I apologise...
and I guess that you being a 'very experienced professional photographer' that you would maybe be a little more open to other views of your work...instead of shutting them down with a " I tend to please myself with what I shoot, then share what I have done"..
but thats just my unprofessional unexperienced opinion...so Im guessing that it don't count in your books...

I like the simplicity of this image and, like Alex, both crops work for me. That said, as the photographer, you have the best idea of what works for you and I respect that.
I have also edited Daniel's original post to honour your request for his edit of your work to be removed

I'm sorry, I did not see your sig.

I have removed my copy also.
For those who were late to this thread, I moved the tree to the left third of the frame. Leaving the right branch pointing into the centre of the frame.
