took these pics last year while i was at the herald sun. i was back stage at the rehearsal of swan lake, and im quite happy with how these turned out.
i used the 70-300G which actually gave me a softness that really worked.
any c&c would be much appreciated as always. thanks.

NJ, I like these very much. Especially #3. And you took these with a 70-300G, WOW, that's impressive. Beautiful, even lighting, obviously no flash was used. There must have been heaps of stage lighting to get such good even exposures.
I keep coming back to #3. It is really very very good IMHO.
Cheers
John

Mate, they are fantastic. You've captured them very well. Just shows the 70-300G is not too bad in the right hands.

Great stuff Nathan,
great photos you took, as was said, the 70-300G used the right way, great results.
On the second one, try cropping just above the bottom of the dress, I find it more "balanced" that way, the back ones lose their heads, from one her legs. I like what you were trying to do.
Third one would also be my favourites.
well done,
André

Dance is probably the most obscure art form for me; that said, both #1 & #3 are fantastic. The repetition makes for such strong composition - well done

Very strong composition and you're very fortunate indeed to get to go backstage. Theatre's something that's hard to get into.
