After some positive comments from rooboy in another thread, just thought I'd share this one with a wider audience. Taken on my honeymoon in NZ a few months ago. I think I blurted out something along the lines of "been married a few days and already want to jump off a bridge" just before the jump.

It's one of those fluke one-in-a-thousand shots. I can't take credit for it though - taken by my wife whilst I was doing the jump (probably the 2nd or 3rd time she's used my D80). I set the camera to continous fire and just told her to keep me in the viewfinder whilst mashing the shutter release.

JPG out of the camera, only post-processing is a little cropping to remove some distracting elements on the edges. Can't do much in terms of composition, but any tips to improve the post processing will be appreciated. Still lots to learn!

Terrific image, and a great reminder for you.

The panning has nicely provided the viewer with the free-falling sensation of the bungee jump.

The only downside (I can't believe I just said that! ) is that we can't see the bottom, and so there is no idea of the height involved.

Absolute Cracker of a shot, and well you could of tried time and time again to get that shot yourself (obviously with someone else jumping), and not of gotten it but the missus, pull it out smooth as you like. Very cool!

Now there's a great image to print and look back on when you are older and wiser. Kudos to your photographer-wife

Thanks for all the positive comments! I'll be sure to pass this on to the missus. Hopefully, this will give her the confidence to get into photography as well (or at the very least make it a little easier to justify my future photography "expenses")
