My first 3 tries at a Panorama... the first 2 were difficult to paste together, as the light was quickly changing, so you may see some differences in color gradient of the sky.

they almost look like you could have made a HDR (i know, doesnt make sense).

Hi, they look great. Did you take them from Kings park? I am heading to Perth over Christmas and will take my d70 and lenses. I have a tokina 12-24 which might go nicely. From your signature it looks likt you shot them with the kit lense. Is that right?

Correct, taken from kings park. Brillant little lookout there.

Will go back and try to take some more in good light, and the south perth foreshore on a calm day will also be a good spot.

All taken with the 18-70 kit lens at 70mm

Since this was my first try, i just sort of winged it. Tried to keep exposure settings the same.

I joined them all together manually on photoshop, was a pain having to adjust the exposure to get each looking the same.

Each are about... 7-8 pictures.

I'm jealous. I have tried panos a few times, but have never succeeded at a seamless stitch I either misalign, or get a gradation in the light.

two things to help you get better results, always stick the camera on full manual and use the same setting for the all the pictures.
If your hand held, don't pan the camera, try and rotate yourself around the lens of the camera, that way perspective should be similar.
If you are using a tripod there is little you can do to stop that apart from getting a pano head. I've always found my hand held panos come out far better than tripod ones.
