Two slightly different perspectives of the aircraft carrier, USS Abraham Lincoln during exercises off Hawaii a couple of weeks ago.

Both images are panoramas taken at 200mm with D2H and 80-200 F2.8.

The conditions were not conducive to good images as it was very bright and sunny with a bad haze and harsh light. Also i was unable to get any other views of it. From front-on would have been nice, but not possible. Maybe some other time.

good stuff steve.

I have only seen one of the Nimitz classes for real.
The namesake was in San Diego when I was there for a SPS49 course.
didnt get on board though. probably would have except it wasnt tied up.
bummer really.

Nice image Steve, it's a big mother of a ship and I certainly wouldn't want to see it in my rear-view mirror if I was a bad guy!
