A view on the latte and the frappe - and a couple of DSLR users in the background.

The fun thing with this photo was I could control the rays of light byt turning the polariser, and I chose to shoot it through the Frappe.

Any C&C?

NOSE GREASE!

if you need nice streaks of light wipe some grease off the side of your nose and smear it onto your filter. Cheap and effective, just remember to clean it off before the next photo

nice atmosphere to the shot. hoe does it look in B&W?

That's a very dynamic image! It has loads of character and is very appealing. Great colours and a credit to your creativity.

I totally agree with Matt on this shot and would even say that it could look great in B&W :)

Here's the B&W...

You lose the primary colours in the background, but the glass stands out much more... not sure what I think, it has a different feel. I've put up two versions - one a straight desaturate and one using a script I found.

Desaturate

Script (I don't think I like this)

It's a bit sepia compared to the desaturate, I wasn't sure the brown tone was all that great... but then the straight desaturate is too black & white, so to speak... I think I like the colour version...
