In the altar shot, please notice how far back the guys are compared to the girls. Seems they are afraid?!!

I have never tried a wedding before but with a mates coming up in Melbourne in March I may give it a try!!!

Just a question with the first photo have you digitally edited it at all??? As it looks like the girls are out of place in that scene IMHO... But then it could just be me... LOL

Again great shots and I await much much more...

I appreciate your honesty regarding the first pic - the girls were actually in the winery but I did lots of fiddling to it. I guess this reinforces in my mind that the best pics are the least fiddled with! I may provide them with the un-altered one now. The main changes are the background blurring and one of the girls has been put in from a different picture where her pose was better - the girl on the far right.

Heath - I never tire of observing your photographic (and post production) skills - there are some truely beautiful images here that the happy couple will enjoy forever! Mate - you really have a broad talent whatever your subject matter be.

The girl on the far right, can I just ask, is that as you look at the photo or the girl on the right as they face you!?

BUT - time to come clean. I made a few errors on this shot that I fixed for my upload here due to excessive pride Here is the original, complete with people where they should not be (in the shaft of bright light) and electrical cables going through people's heads... It also shows the girl in a completely different pose, and 1 girl previously removed

I am of the same opinion Heath. I think what gets me is that the girls are super super sharp compared to the rest of the scene? If they weren't as sharp it'd be fine. Edit: just saw your 2nd version, looks better in terms of this!

The other shots are wonderful, but I'd try and remove the blue cast on the right hand side of the 3rd last one? The others have a lovely warm look to them that works.

Very good shots Heath - geez, wouldn't I have loved to run across that hens night in my single days!

The close up of the bride (#2) is great, but I reckon a poofteenth of softening filter would make the
bride happier with it - just to reduce the pore level detail.

Heath, beautiful shots, not sure if I am looking at a reworked no 1 shot or not, but compared to some of the heavily PP wedding work going around, your shot is at the lighter end. I like all your shots and would imagine the bride and groom are very happy.

Thanks Wendell - This was my first ever traditional style wedding, and my second ever wedding. I believe I have a lot to improve on, but I am happy considering. Dominique and I took plenty of shots, and in my opinion she is my equal in photographic ability. With our shots combined we always get it covered, having a 'wingman' puts us at ease. I would like to post a few of hers if she allows me.

The looks on the faces of the two make-up folk results in a price;less shot. Sums up entirely my attitude towards weddings.

Have you considered that if there were fewer weddings and more marriages the divorce rate might be an entirely different colour?

You have taken some great shots, and I can't believe how you saved that shot with your PP skills. I think as someone above said, the reason it looks a little sureal is how sharp the girls are compared to the background.. it gives the feel they have just been super-imposed..
Some really nice shots, and I hope you can hope some wingman /winggirl shots as well!

Groups are always a problem.....

I really like the shots, especially the makeup shot- as it conveys that rush before the walk down the aisle. I do like #1 as it seems posed while still being candid, and of course the bride signing the register. Well done! I'm sure the couple will love the shots!
