Had a day off to recover from daughters wedding and after being on the other end of the camera I had to resume my position behind the camera.
I have acquired a 2 X TC for my Sigma 70-200 and I had to give it a run, what do think? I probablly should have cropped the rocks.

Nice one Jeff, I have used that combination on surfing shots before, as I have also done with the 80-400VR. The 70-200 with 1.7 TC is just not enough and the 80-400 is not fast enough

Jeff - I have used a 2x TC on my 80 - 200 but I find all my shots come out a bit too soft - yours look quite sharp..can I ask what brand TC you have - I went for a cheap Kenko so that my be my problem ??

Hi cc@t
The TC is a Sigma that is designed to go with the lens. With my limited use it seems to produce sharp shots.

i think a TC or 2 will be my next purchases... find at times the 70-200 just doesnt get in close enough..

Awesome photo there Jeff.. the wall of water really captures it!

Nice action shot. Love the carved up water here. I think I agree that cropping the rocks out would add to the picture. Perhaps also a little Brightness/Contrasts would give the pic more light.
