That's a beautiful shot Rel... Was the ladybug in the droplet or on a leaf behind it? It's difficult to tell...

Very cool Narelle. This is an absolute ripper image. Not sure if I'd bother with the title (good as it is) - I'd be inclined to let the viewer put their own interpretative spin on it. I was thinking it looked like Nature's own macro lens!

That's got to be a photo mapipulation, if it's not, then you are a photographic genius

Simon, you're right about the text - consider it removed :)

And everyone else, thanks for the comments.

I wasn't really expecting anyone to bother commenting as I was just playing after the first storm this afternoon - originally 2 photos, one of a water droplet off the twig, the other of a ladybird on a grass stem. copied/pasted the bug onto the droplet shot, dropped the opacity and fill back to around 50% and then cleaned up around the bug to fit the droplet in the original twig shot. Then fixed up the contrast/colours, did a little dodge and burn, merged and cropped. I know it's cheating, but it was fun :)

here are the original two shots:

Great photoshopping but it wouldn't have succeeded if you hadn't shot great images to start with. Excellent work Narelle.

I've cut back my manipulation stuff and am trying to concentrtate on getting decent shots out of the camara. I find I can now spend more time out hunter/gathering and less time in front of the monitor.

Just about to post some from this morning - I think I found the owner of that skin you picked up then other night!
