Posted: Sun Nov 27, 2005 6:22 pmVery cool Narelle. This is an absolute ripper image. Not sure if I'd bother with the title (good as it is) - I'd be inclined to let the viewer put their own interpretative spin on it. I was thinking it looked like Nature's own macro lens!

And everyone else, thanks for the comments.
I wasn't really expecting anyone to bother commenting as I was just playing after the first storm this afternoon - originally 2 photos, one of a water droplet off the twig, the other of a ladybird on a grass stem. copied/pasted the bug onto the droplet shot, dropped the opacity and fill back to around 50% and then cleaned up around the bug to fit the droplet in the original twig shot. Then fixed up the contrast/colours, did a little dodge and burn, merged and cropped. I know it's cheating, but it was fun

I've cut back my manipulation stuff and am trying to concentrtate on getting decent shots out of the camara. I find I can now spend more time out hunter/gathering and less time in front of the monitor.
Just about to post some from this morning - I think I found the owner of that skin you picked up then other night!
