Cruised passed these and many other oil rigs on the Bass Strait oil and gas field last month. Bass Strait was unusually calm.

Hi Steve
I like these oil rig very much , one of the rig near Malaysia rescued my nearly sunk boat ( sea pirate ) with so many people on it so whereever I see oil rig it remind me 25 years ago, and I like it in BW of the old day.
Regards
Spada

MAjestic capture of huge pieces of engineering, must be quite a sight out there in the Strait. It's a long time since I've ventured to Devonport on the Princess on the Bass Strt. Keep safe out there. Max

Hi Killa. I really like this image. It presents the oil rigs in an almost serene way, as opposed to the image in my head of big, noisy machinery (Like in the movie Armaggedon).
Thanks for posting it.
Cheers,
Owen.

Love the shot Steve - I work on one of those things but in Northern Australia, not in the freezing Bass Strait!!!

Great shot steve. I love the BW conversion. It's like those industrial BW shots that look so great. It's great that you can visit these places and photograph things that few of us get the opportunity to see, let alone photograph. Thanks for sharing.
