This is AWESOME!! Love it... there is just so much to like about this shot for me. But most of all it's the expressions you've captured! An absolute rippa IMHO. Well done. So what's the story behind this shot Taro ?
Taro, looks good, will look even better printed. A real aussie beach shot, faint echoes of Dupain.
Sad thing is these shots may be a thing of the past in the future, with some idiot claiming it was a topless pic of a group of underage girls. http://wolfeyes.com.au Tactical Torches - Tactical Flashlights Police torch rechargeable torch military torch police military HID surefire flashlight LED torch tactical torch rechargeable wolf eyes flashlight surefire torch wolf eyes tactical torchpolice torch
Thank You
That is one excellent picture. The facial expression of the girl not laughing with the girl who is and the one in the background undecided. Great!
Shading and tones are excellent to. B&W images often look good, this looks great. Nice! 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Excellent capture there Taro!
I'd too be keen to know what the story was behind this shot. Well done! Geoff

Thanks for all your comments so far!!
This picture was taken 6 weeks ago on the island of Koh Tao, Thailand. The Japanese boy on the right, Yura, is 2 and a half years old and the Israeli twins are 3. It was really nice playing with these kids because although none of us could understand a word the other said, we were able to communicate through gestures and laughter. Yura, is one of the happiest kids I've ever met and every now and then for no reason whatsoever he would just burst into spontaneous laughter. I just happened to capture one of these events after they had managed to climb a 5 foot high coconut tree stump!! The girl in the middle just seemed perplexed at Yura's sudden outburst while her twin sister was as always just very shy. D70S
I also see it as:
"Hey check this out!! The girl next to me has a tree growing out of her head!!" D70S
Taro,
THis is simply wonderful. The expression in the laughing girls face is terrific. My only nit pick is the tree. I might be tempted to clone it out, but other than that, excellent. Matt
One word: Beautiful.
Canon 20D and a bunch of lovely L glass and a 580EX. Benro tripod. Manfrotto monopod. Lowepro and Crumpler bags. And a pair of Sigma teleconverters, and some Kenko tubes. http://www.dionm.net/
Thats a cracker of a shot.... Great stuff
![]() If only someone had planted that tree a little bit more to the left! D4, D700, plus glass from 14mm to 200mm
Gaffa Tape is like the FORCE... it has a Light side, a Dark side and it holds the universe together
Then that poor girl would of had a really lopsided walk ![]()
Just having another (closer) look:
On my laptop monitor the girl's chest in the middle and the boy's (on the right)has a funny pattern to it. Have you done some extra sharpening on this image? Can anyone else see what I'm talking about? Geoff
