Some great stuff there
My comments:
1. City reflections doesn't really grab me. It just seems to be a side of a not particularly nice building. If I look harder, I can see an air conditioning vent and a reflection of another not particularly nice building. I can see that you are aiming to get some interesting reflections. Personally I think if that is the case then perhaps it would be good to get a reflection of two different
styles of things, eg the reflection of a really nice old building in the glass of a faceless new building, or vice versa. Just my opinion.
2. I think the QVB interior is wonderful. I like the offset symmetry of the curves. The colours are good, too - very QVB. About the only thing I would have thought about is if I could get a lone shopper gazing out over the railing, but that would have been a lucky shot to get.
3. I found the piano very interesting, not so much from your photo, but the fact that it is presumably the same piano that nnnnsic photographed. Same piano, very different results. It might be interesting to have an entire mini-meet around that piano and post a thread of everyone's interpretations of it!
4. The escalator shot didn't really interest me. It just looks like an escalator to me. Are you trying to show a
modern touch in an old building? Not sure. The top and bottom is cropped out, so perhaps you aren't trying to get a shot of the escalator. Again, not sure.
5. Flower stand is colourful, but I'm not sure what else to say. Perhaps it needs a person smelling them, or buying them, or something.
6. I love the chairs. There's a mechanical symmetry about them, plus looking at them, I'm not sure whether they are very valuable in that they are about to be sat on, or valueless in that they are about to be stacked up.
7. Veteran: Nice shot. There's a fair bit of space above his head to me, but it's your photo! I wonder if he would have held up his medals for you and you could have got a shot of them with his face in the background?
8. I like the idea of "reflections" but I find the light pole very distracting.
