1st pic was shot down the road from my place at Teneriffe. It's the building on the corner of Ann and Something-or-other street, next to the new ANZ bank.

It's the Fujitsu Building, on the corner of Longlands St.
(I live at Teneriffe too!)

I think you've done well with the composition on that one but I'd be really interested to see it under different lighting situations. Looks a bit harsh at the moment.

The Powerhouse wall shot is probably trying to include a bit too much in one bite. There are a lot of textures and shapes and the eye doesn't really know where to look or settle. A closer crop to highlight the 'morse' look might work better?

Shavings? Well, as I said before, I like this one. It's simple, it's beautifully lit (I don't care about the blown highlights at the rear) and I can almost smell that pine frame.

Manta - thanks for the constructive comments. That's what I'm after. Hopefully I'll get some more......

What you need is to get yourself a DSLR! you're making that Oly P&S do things I'm sure it just wasn't meant to do!!

Sorry - should've posted my thoughts earlier:
I like #1, good composition, strong lines.
I agree with Simon on #2
I think #3 has potential, but the background spoils it a bit. Try a norrower crop, or even some guassian blur.
Keep posting.

these are good examples of stock photography..... with the second one i'd suggest cropping away just blow the grey block at the utmost top of the image.... gives it a completely different feel in my opionion...
