Forum rules
Please note that image critiquing is a matter of give and take: if you post images for critique, and you then expect to receive criticism, then it is also reasonable, fair and appropriate that, in return, you post your critique of the images of other members here as a matter of courtesy. So please do offer your critique of the images of others; your opinion is important, and will help everyone here enjoy their visit to far greater extent.

Also please note that, unless you state something to the contrary, other members might attempt to repost your image with their own post processing applied. We see this as an acceptable form of critique, but should you prefer that others not modify your work, this is perfectly ok, and you should state this, either within your post, or within your signature.

Images posted here should conform with the general forum guidelines. Image sizes should not exceed 950 pixels along the largest side (height or width) and typically no more than four images per post or thread.

Nice and sharp jethro and great news to hear you've been 'allowed' to shoot there...I'm sure I can speak on behalf of everyone here, we look forward to more of your shots. I think this one would look good in B&W too!

Hi Jethro
congrats on being given the "green light" to shoot officially.

For me, I think this shot might have been stronger if there was a little more room around the boy and framed a bit higher, so there wasn't "as much" water in the foreground & a bit more room above the ball....but that's just for my personal taste.

Perhaps another idea...if you havent tried this already...is to take a few shots when he follows through to throw the ball (just as it's leaving, or about to leave, his hand - with the splashes of water trailing the arm etc...)

Just an idea, anyway...

Good luck with your shooting and I look forward to seeing more from you. This would be a great sport to photograph..... :)
