Cutey

Here's another shot from my day at Lamington National Park. Red-necked Pademelons come out in the late afternoon after the tourists have gone. This little guy was only young - maybe last year's joey? Not too skittish but they still don't like you getting too close. 200-400VR at 200mm, f4. I know the paws are soft but I was having real trouble holding this mother of a lens. I should have closed down the aperture a bit but it looked better in the viewfinder than it does here.

ooo, how sweet (insert gooing and gaaing noises here). :)

Great head-on shot, the eyes have a devil-red quality about them though.

Thanks K - you would have loved them in the flesh. He was only about 10 inches high too!

PP was only cropping, some tonal adjustment and a little sharpening but no change to the eye colour - they're a kind of cherry chocolate colour in real life so this is a pretty accurate rendition.
