For the brick wall lovers. Three test shots I took to see how the focus was on the 20mm/f2.8 Nikkor at various f stops. The shots were taken over a period of about 30 seconds at 7:50 am Saturday 29/10

F2.8 1/400 sec

F5.6 1/125 sec

Very nice brick wall Peter, I would be inclined to crop the plant on the left side, it detracts from the overall simmetry of the bricks. :)

There really ought to be more photography just like this.
Thoughtful composition highlighting the beauty of the brickwall by providing a peek of greenery off to the side.

Well done Peter, made my weekend complete

Perhaps this is just the beginning??? Maybe a whole series with the full range of nikon glass??? Could be the start of a whole new movement.

I hate to be critical but I think it needs to be straightened a bit.

I agree with MJ need more of this type of photography.

I like the way you have juxtaposed mans bleak and uniformly lacklustre approach to creating a sterile environment with the overtly natural greenery that nature epitomises with the placing of the plant.
With the duplication of the image, albeit at different settings, you have only highlighted mans need to homogenise the world, but with subtle curvature hinted at his inner desire to break free from his own ways and midset.

top work

If it wasn't stoned or drunken brickies laying unlevel courses of bricks then I'd get shot of that lens ASAP - it's a shocker!

Cheers,
