This pic was captured last night, I was both inspired and informed by the posts on this forum to attempt this shot.
Thank you all for sharing you wisdom.

Nice one Greg :D It really isn't all that difficult is it? That's the advantage of digital, just keep shooting. Yours is a little sharper than my best effort though.

Excellent shot Greg! Well done. Looks like you were using your tripod and the strike was pretty close.

Nice capture.

Very nice shot.

The first time I was trying to capture lightning after taking the shot the camera would take ages to store the image, resulting in me missing some shots. I evetually realised that I had noise reduction on which caused the huge delay. So just tip for those with noise reduction on. I always have mine off now.

Thank you all for your kind comments.
I feel that photographing storms could be quite addictive :)

Oneputt, your dead right about the advantage of digital, just keep shooting. I could not have justified 3 rolls of 35mm for one or two keepers.

JordanP, some of the strikes were quite close thankfully I was able to shoot from indoors.

tsanglabs, thanks for the noise reduction tip.
