With all the storm activity at the moment and having a new lens to play with I was going to try and get some lightning shots.

The lightning wasn't cooperating so took some pix of the power pole instead. Thought the way it was being lit by the street light was interesting.

Am I on the right track here? Trying to get something interesting out of a common object.

I would not have a clue if you are the right track or not but the image is very well exposed in my book. The subject matter though is a little too fussy for my tatste.

I like it - you have made something out of nothing, quite an achievement :D

Thanks for all your comments.

It was the way the clutter was lit that caught my eye. It looks very boring this morning.

Cool shot John . I enjoy photographs that capture everyday objects in a slightly different light (pardon the pun) . I'd try to have the pole parallel with the frame . I know theres no real rules to abide by but sometimes the horizontals and verticals can be distracting if they are off . and with the pole being the biggest thing in frame i found myself leaning a bit :D
