At approximately 0400hrs today (23/10) crews were turned out to a two story house fire at on the corner of Anzac Ave and Josey Rd at Mango Hill. The derelict property was well involved upon arrival. Pumps on scene were 526a, 525a, 521a, and 527a. No occupants were on the scene. By the time I was on scene the fire was under control.

Derelict property. I drive past it each day to work and always wonder when it's time will come... looks like it finally did. The cleanup will take a while as it was an asbestos building.

Some great shots there Mark, 4am eh? I was up at 4am this morning too, unbelievable..the sun started to rise at 4:30am...whoa! Asbestos? Sheish mate...did u have to take any precautions there with the fire burning it up and into the air so close to you? I see that the firey's didn't have any protective breathing apparatus on either. Scary!

0400 is a wonderful time of the morning.

I always have a mask with me but had no need to wear it as I was downwind. The firey's used BA to enter the building, however wasn't necessary on the outside.
