Hi guys,
i had a shot at stitching a panorama together. Shows the general detail of what i was trying to achieve. would have liked to show the target clearer but thats about the best i could do with the kit lense from the required range.
I might try it next time when the vehicle isn't firing and have the camera position at the midpoint between vehicle and target.
anyway, see what you think.

borrowed a tripod to try this out, wasn't real good, probably would have been just as effective hand holding!
used autostitch to bring them all together, still playing around with it to try and get a larger version that i can print out (A3) but the progrram is not recognising the interfaces between the separate photos when i do this.
There was 'better' cloud pattern later in the day but the vehicles position was altered and the shot was obstructed.

I have not had much luck hand holding and then stitching using the free version of Panorama Factory. Others on the forum seem to have better results - maybe better hand holding technique/better software/more patient than I am!

I built a very simple pano head on the weekend - only had a short time to play with it and was disapointed with the results. Now I'm trying to decide if I can justify a proper pano head (the Kingpano one looks good).

What would be cool is a tracer zapping across the pano... You'd have to be quick (or have a shallow angle) or just do in photoshop!!!

yeah, tracer would be good!
unfortunatly we knock all of them out of the belts (every 4th one) as they behave slightly differently to the other rounds and affect our accuracy results.
